EORM Expands International Business Practice; Announces Service Provider Relationships in 16 Global Regions
July 6, 2006
Environmental and Occupational Risk Management Inc. (EORM®), a premier environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management consulting firm, announced today that it will further develop the Company’s international client support capabilities through the creation of a service provider network across Europe and Asia. The network, consisting of 16 local EHS service providers, will be an integral part of EORM’s business practice in support of its global client base.
"As costs and other market factors continue to drive manufacturing and engineering off-shore, many EORM clients are expanding their capabilities to meet international market requirements. The challenge of keeping global manufacturing facilities in compliance with local regulations can be daunting," commented Glenn Fisher, EORM President and CEO, in emphasizing one of the major areas of concentration in international EHS. "Many of these companies sub-contract to smaller manufacturers who, by virtue of limited local enforcement or compliance requirements, do not have proactive EHS programs in place at local job sites. This puts both their employees and client companies, at risk. It is important that the leadership companies use their resources and influence to encourage more responsible environmental behavior by these sub-contractors."
A global service provider network approach allows EORM to expand its international reach to provide localized support on global issues for many of the Company’s US-based, multi-national clients. Each of the global EHS service providers selected by EORM has the knowledge, culture, language, and proven track record to deliver cost-effective project management and quality assurance for EORM management and technical consulting services.
