EORM Awarded ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Certifications
BVQi certifies the California-headquartered environmental, health, and safety management consulting firm and its regional offices.
Sunnyvale, CA – April 21, 2004 – Environmental and Occupational Risk Management Inc. (EORM®), a leading environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management consulting firm, announced today that they have successfully achieved ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications. EORM is the first EHS services consultancy to be awarded certification by Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQi).
"Since we provide guidance to many clients on the registration process and its requirements, and because we believe it’s an important management system for any company, we felt it was critical to experience the certification process ourselves," stated Kerrie Romanow, EORM vice president of Operations. “We believe EHS is important to our employees. Although our formal ISO team was 20 individuals representing all EORM regions and practices, everyone in the company participated in helping achieve certification.”
EORM helps their clients develop and implement complete EHS Management Systems that conform to ISO 14001 and/or OHSAS 18001 standards. These systems can readily integrate with existing ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems (QMS) and/or other Business Management Systems including: Human Resources, Accounting, Operations, Six-Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, and Just-In-Time (JIT). EORM specializes in ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 program auditing, training, management consulting, and implementation. In addition, EORM provides on-site support to its clients in a full- or part-time capacity to manage the delivery of new EHS initiatives.
